we ask that class cancellations be made 4 hours prior to the start of your booked class. non-cancellations will forfeit that class visit and/or will incur at $10 late cancellation fee.
definitely NOT! we very firmly believe that movement is for everybody & every body, & we purposefully design our classes for students of all experience (& flexibility!) levels. our instructors offer variations & modifications to accomodate new-to-the-mat students, & to challenge more seasoned yogis.
our studio is kept comfortably warm without being overly hot for most classes.
all you need for your practice is yourself! (& maybe a water bottle.) we provide you with a mat & all the props you might need for class. of course, you are welcome to bring your own mat & towel if you prefer. (this is recommended for "warm classes")
we recommend that you wear light athletic wear that will allow for comfortable movement. be prepared to leave your shoes & socks at the door, as we always practice yoga barefoot or in yoga socks. for "warm classes", be prepared to sweat! dress for a sweaty practice & please come properly hydrated.
yes! yoga is an amazing way to calm your mind & connect to your body through gentle, mindful movement throughout your pregnancy. please notify your instructor at the beginning of class so that they may offer appropriate modifications. as with any type of physical movement during pregnancy, we recommend that you speak with your healthcare provider before beginning a yoga practice.
Yoga can be very therapeutic, but we do recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before practicing yoga if you have an injury. Pplease notify your instructor of any injuries at the beginning of class so that they may offer appropriate modifications as necessary.
Wwe love this question as we are passionate about the benefits children experience from the practice of yoga! our classes are open to children ages 12 & up with a parent or guardian to accompany them through class. we also offer pop-up Children's Yoga classes geared specifically to kids under 12, as well as Teen & Youth Athlete classes which are especially suited to their growing bodies & sports. be sure to check our schedule for class times.
